Testimonials

Aamir Rafi is a dedicated expert in Chen Tai Chi and a teacher who guides you carefully through your Tai Chi journey. He knows Chen Tai Chi and other Chinese Martial Arts in detail, but more importantly he can teach them too. I've trained with him for twelve years and still in every class I learn something new. He teaches with a light touch, much patience and a great sense of humour which is refreshing. If you want to learn Chen Tai Chi in particular and other Chinese Martial Arts as well you're in for the ride of your life. You will learn Tai Chi to a high standard and improve as an individual along the way.

Mike Costello
Entertainment Agent

As Tai Chi is steadily growing in popularity outside the borders of China, there is no shortage of people ready to serve the demand (a quick Youtube search would illustrate the point). Therefore, one might ask: what sets Aamir apart?  Here is my answer: - Aamir has devoted his life to martial arts; transmission of the vast and in-depth knowledge that he's accumulated over the years is not a matter of business, but an earnest task and purpose of a life-time - He has a talent to break it down into a detailed step-by-step system, demystifying its "secrets" and making it accessible to Western mentality - He practices Tai Chi in a sparring context and therefore can share practical, no-nonsense knowledge of the martial applications - He is a patient, generous and attentive teacher with a great sense of humour - He truly loves Tai Chi and what he is doing For all the reasons mentioned above and many more, I am grateful for the opportunity to study with Aamir and can confidently say that it has benefited both my understanding of Tai Chi and my character as a person.

I've known and trained with Aamir rafi for some years now. As both a student and an instructor, I not only benifit from Aamir as a student, but he also models the qualities within teaching that I hope to carry into my own classes. Aamir's qualities are always present in his teaching. Such tai chi principles as yin/yang balance and integration are there to be seen in the way Aamir constantly adapts his instruction to the needs and levels of students. He teaches and demonstrates concepts and applications in a way that's inspirational whilst making students feel relaxed through his amazing egolessness and patience....for me that's a true Master and not just demostration but the embodiment of Tai Chi.
